Dr. Anupam Ray, IFS (Ret.)
Dr. Anupam Ray is a senior diplomat of the Indian Foreign Service from the 1994 batch, currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. He has been appointed as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations Conference on Disarmament, Geneva - a prestigious multilateral posting where he represents India’s strategic priorities in global disarmament and security dialogues.
Prof. Somdatta Mandal, Ph. D.
Prof. Somdatta Mandal is a distinguished scholar and translator - former Professor of English and ex-Chairperson, Department of English, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan. She graduated from the University of Calcutta and earned her M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Jadavpur University. A recipient of major international fellowships (Fulbright, British Council/Charles Wallace Trust, Rockefeller residency at Bellagio, Salzburg Seminar, and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Fellowship), Prof. Mandal has taught abroad (Fulbright Visiting Lecturer, Dickinson College), edited and translated key Bengali texts, and published widely on American literature, contemporary fiction, film & cultural studies, diaspora literature and travel narratives - bringing rich interdisciplinary perspective to our advisory board.
Prof. Asok Chaudhuri, Ph. D.
Received his MS and PhD degrees in Molecular Biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University, New York and his post doctoral research training at the Rockefeller University, New York. He was the Head of the department of Cell Biology, New York Blood Center. He published more than forty research papers in the field of Molecular Cell Biology and malarial research in various reputed journals in the USA. Also, he had more than ten years of teaching experience in Biological Sciences in several undergraduate colleges in the New York area including City University of New York, New York Institute of Technology and Farmingdale State College, State University of New York.
Dr. Madhumita Chaudhuri, Ph. D.
Received her Ph. D. in Psychology from Calcutta University and MA in Clinical and Behavioural Psychology from the City University of New York, USA. She has extensive experience as a clinical psychologist in various private and New York State psychological institutes specializing in the care of developmentally challenged adults.
Ms. Abhranila Das
Ms. Abhranila Das is the Business Promotion Head & Director of Synchro Electronics, Kolkata, a 20+ year R&D-driven electronics manufacturer specializing in controller PCBs, automation solutions, testing equipment, and BLDC fans, where she leads business strategy, R&D, product design, and execution. She is also the CEO & Proprietor of Maketh Electronics, an SMT PCB manufacturing unit. An M.Tech graduate from Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur, she is pursuing a PhD at Jadavpur University under Kumardeb Banerjee on IoT-based energy optimization, after serving as a Researcher at TCS Research & Innovation Labs. She holds 3 patents, 1 copyright, and 9 publications, received the Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Awards (GYTI) (2021), serves on the Board of Studies (ECE) at Greater Kolkata College of Engineering and Management, has taught at University of Calcutta, and actively mentors students and leads philanthropic initiatives across Bengal.
Ms. Madhuchhanda Gupta (Das)
Ms. Madhuchhanda Gupta (Das) is a distinguished nursing professional and administrator with over 36 years of service in the Government of West Bengal Nursing Services. She holds a B.Sc. (Bio.), B.Sc. (Honours) in Nursing, and an M.Sc. in Nursing from the University of Calcutta. Over the course of her career, she has served with distinction as Sister-in-Charge, Nurse Teacher, Deputy Nursing Superintendent, and Nursing Superintendent across leading institutions including North Bengal Medical College & Hospital, Burdhaman Medical College, NRS Medical College, Dr. B.C. Roy Post Graduate Institute of Paediatric Sciences, M.R. Bangur Hospital, and J.B. Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, from where she retired in 2021. Her extensive experience in healthcare education, training, and institutional leadership brings valuable perspective and guidance to the Advisory Board of Anandaloke Heritage School.
